The rope retainers improve the ability to hold the rope in place after the Cleat Captor Z has been rigged and lessen the chance that it will be disturbed during handling. The rope retainers can be used to rig the unit for right or left handed operation. Use of the rope retainers is optional which means that the Cleat Captor Z can still be rigged and used like the original Cleat Captor if preferred.
